Andrew Davies

A rising star during Middlesbrough’s run to the UEFA Cup final in 2006, Andrew has enjoyed an excellent career in England and Scotland.

The centre-back made his Boro debut aged just 17 in a League Cup tie against Ipswich in 2002 and following loan spells at QPR and Derby, came back to be a part in arguably Boro’s greatest ever season.

He played a key role in both legs of the aggregate victories against Stuttgart and Roma in the UEFA Cup, coming up against the likes of Mario Gomez and Daniele De Rossi.

He moved to Southampton in 2007 but was there for just a year before signing for Premier League new-boys Stoke City. Numerous loan moves followed, including a short stint at Boro in 2011, before Andrew joined Bradford City on a permanent deal in 2012.

During Andrew’s first season, the Bantams enjoyed a fairy-tale campaign, reaching the League Cup final at Wembley and then returning to the home of football to achieve promotion to League One in the play-off final.

After three successful years with Bradford, the strapping defender joined Scottish Premiership outfit Ross County in 2015 and has established himself as a first-team regular.

Davies joined Hartlepool United and was named the club captain but after a short time there he has now joined Dundee FC in the Scottish Premiership on an 18 month contract.
