Ben Gibson signs for Burnley

Congratulations Ben Gibson who today has completed his move from Middlesbrough to Burnley for a club record fee. 

Well deserved Gibbo and its great to see you back in the Premier League.

Such an amazing servant to Middlesbrough, coming through the academy and breaking into the first team, Ben has now chosen this new adventure in his career to play again in the Premier League. 

Well done again Gibbo, and good luck from everyone at the SMI Family.

Lyle Taylor scores on his debut live on Sky Sports

Congratulations Lyle Taylor who made a scoring debut for Charlton Athletic today live on Skt Sports. In the early kick off at the Stadium Of Light, Lyle smashed in his penalty after 10 minutes to make his debut with a goal. 

Lyle came out on the losing side though with Sunderland scoring an injury time winner but great positives to be taken out of the game and always great to get off the mark for your new club wearing the Number 9 shirt.

Popey doing what Popey does best

Well done today Tom Pope who once again proved he really is a Goal Machine by scoring another 2 goals for Port Vale in a convincing 3-0 win over Cambridge United.

The first was a Pope trademark penalty which he never looked like missing and the 2nd was a great back post header giving the defenders and goalkeeper no chance.

Well done Popey keep it up.

Lewis Wing makes Championship debut

Congratulations Lewis Wing who came on as a 2nd half substitute today for Middlesbrough to make his Championship debut. He also got an assist in the last minute to help salvage a 2-2 draw away vs a tough Millwall side. Lew also had a stat to remember where he had a 100% pass accuracy over 10+ passes when he came on. 

Well done Wingy keep it up.

Good luck to all our clients

SMI would like to wish all of our clients the best of luck for the coming season. After a hard pre season the boys are now ready for the season ahead. Keep working hard lads and the rewards will come. A special mention to Jon Meades also, who had to in the past few days take the huge decision at the age of just 26 to retire from the game through injury. Good luck in whatever you decide to do Jon and we will be here to help you.

After a frustrating season due to injury, Mozza has shown his determination and professionalism to come back and show he's worth a new deal at the Hawthorns.

Wyke signs for Sunderland

Congratulations Charlie Wyke who today has signed for Sunderland from Bradford City. 

After a hugely successful spell with Bradford and scoring plenty of goals, Sunderland have now landed his signature on a 3 year contract. 

We want to wish Chaz all the best at his new club and cant wait to see him in the red and white of Sunderland scoring goals.
