Rest in peace Ray. SMI would like to pass on their condolences to all the family and friends of Ray Wilkins who sadly passed away today. Terrible news for football that has lost a legend but also such a great man. You will be sadly missed inside and outside of the game. RIP Ray.

A huge achievement for Ste who's fine form for his club has seen him being called into a star studded u18 squad.

Danny Johnson hat trick

Congratulations Danny Johnson who scored a hat trick for Gateshead vs Maidenhead United on Saturday in a 7-1 win their biggest of the season. 

Danny has now scored 7 goals in his last 3 games including 2 in each game vs Leyton Orient in their FA Trophy semi final matches last week.

Snodgrass in multiple teams of the week

Great to see Robert Snodgrass back amongst the highest rating players of the Championship after his 2 assists and another goal vs Sheff Wednesday at the weekend. 

Robert has the highest ratings based on stats by WhoScored.com in the whole of the Championship and has also made the SkyBet and EFL Championship teams of the week after another unforgettable performance against Sheffield Wednesday. 

Robert scored his 8th goal of the season from the penalty spot after winning the penalty himself after another mazy run. 

Great to see Snodds back on top of his game and showing his unbelievable quality week after week for Aston Villa.

SMI Sign Saul Shotton

SMI are excited to announce the signing of the hugely talented Saul Shotton of Bury FC. 

Saul has caught the eye at the heart of the Bury defence this season and been a solid figure in their FA Youth Cup run this season. 

Already played for the 1st team in pre season and is continuing to impress week in week out for the youth team. 

Saul is already on the radar of some of the big teams in the Premier League.

Congratulations Stewart Downing who made his 300th start for Middlesbrough FC on Saturday vs Cardiff City. A huge achievement rarely seen by players in this modern day. Having already amassed over 600 Professional games to achieve half of them with one club shows great loyalty.
