Robert Snodgrass helped Aston Villa move into a Championship play-off spot with a goal and an assist in the 2-0 win at Preston.
The Scotland international, on a season-long loan from West Ham, supplied the inch-perfect corner for James Chester to open the scoring on 12 minutes.
He then added his side's second on 33 minutes, calmly stroking a left-foot shot past goalkeeper Chris Maxwell.
Villa boss Steve Bruce was confident about the outcome as soon as the chance fell to the 30-year-old, who is renowned as one of the best strikers of a ball in the English game.
“When it came to him, we all thought goal because of his calmness,” he told the club’s site.
The win takes Villa up to fifth in the league. Everyone at SMI is delighted to see Snoddy doing so well and we wish him continued success for the rest of the season.

SMI client Dan Batty marked his debut for Halifax Town with his first ever senior goal.
The 19-year-old midfielder is on month-long loan from Hull City and played the full 90 minutes as the Shaymen fell to a 4-2 defeat at Tranmere Rovers.
He was on target in the 66th minute as he slammed the ball past Rovers' keeper Simon Davies.
He was praised by fans for his display but modestly told the club’s website: “I did all right, I think. Started off a bit slow, as you would, like everybody, but then grew into the game.”
Dan has made one EFL Cup appearance for Hull City so far and promises to be one to look out for in the future.
Everyone at SMI wishes Dan all the best at Halifax and we look forward to seeing him progress!

Popular striker Lyle Taylor has been celebrating his first hat-trick for AFC Wimbledon and the first league treble by any Dons’ player.
Taylor hit three superb goals in the 3-1 home win over Rotherham United on October 17, ending a 21-goal run without scoring.
His first was a cool chip after 15 minutes before the Millers equalised through Joe Newell.
But Taylor cut in from the left and hit a brilliant 18-yard strike to restore the lead on 86 minutes and then sealed the three points after capitalising on a late defensive howler.
Everyone at SMI is delighted for Lyle and we hope the goals keep on coming!

October 25, 2017
Tony McMahon’s sensational free-kick winner against Northampton Town earned him the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month award for September.
The right-back lifted the ball over the Cobblers’ defensive wall and past a helpless goalkeeper to give his side all three points with what turned out to be the only goal of the game.
Judge and Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman said: “When a free-kick is as close to the goal and as central as McMahon’s, often the hardest thing is to hold back on the power to give the ball a chance to get up and over the wall and down again under the bar.
“He takes just about every set piece for Bradford, which is an indication of his mastery of the dead ball and so it was no surprise that McMahon judged it to perfection, clipping the ball into the top corner with the precision that you need when taking free-kicks from that distance.”
McMahon said: “I’m delighted with the award, thank you to everyone that voted.”
The former England youth international tore his hamstring during City’s 4-2 victory at Milton Keynes Dons on October 7 and was expected to be out for up to a month.
