George Smith

Left-back George came through the ranks at hometown club Barnsley and made 25 league appearances during the Tykes’ successful 2015/16 League One promotion campaign.

In all he played 86 times for Barnsley and enjoyed a loan spell with Crawley Town before joining National League Gateshead.

Within a year his form attracted league scouts and he joined League One Northampton Town in the summer of 2017, signing a two-year contract.

George signed for Chesterfield FC on the January transfer deadline day on a permanent deal and after one season and a some loan moves to Dover and Boston United, George has signed permanently with Harrogate Town.
