Gary has over 20 years experience scouting in the professional game. Gary started out with Darlington coaching the u11-16s. He then moved into scouting side of the game locally with Middlesbrough FC. Gary then moved to Grimsby Town and spent 3 years on opposition team and individual reports before being made senior scout at Rochdale. He then moved onto Barnsley as their senior scout before moving to Burnley where he reported on all u14-18 potential signings for the academy. For the next 3 seasons Gary was national scout for Everton where he had big input in the signing of Bobby Carrol and Isaac Price both from Leeds United and Kieran Phillips from Huddersfield Town. Gary has also worked as a talent ID scout for the Welsh FA reporting on all players u16-23s where he highlighted David Brooks for the national team. 

Gary will be overseeing our UK youth recruitment.
